College and Career Prep

Our students are full of big dreams and big potential.

It is our job to help advance, support and plan for their future goals.

All HSE students will be equipped to succeed and evolve in a face-paced, ever-changing global environment, regardless of their future choice: college, career, military, or entrepreneurship. Fishers Junior High students are equipped to handle whatever decision they make. 

You may think of college and career readiness as a high school pursuit but at HSE Schools we begin to build awareness and exploration skills in our youngest learners. The focus in grades 7-8 moves from building career awareness to building career information. 
 
The Indiana Roadmap for Student Success articulates College and Career Readiness as experiences that build career exploration.  These experiences include developing graduation plans, participating in a job shadow, interviewing a professional in a career field of interest, creating a resume, participating in high school orientation, and exposure to financial literacy.

Naviance

We are pleased to introduce Naviance, a secure web-based planning and advising system that helps students and parents navigate through high school and explore post high school options. Students will use Clever to access Naviance.
